When promoting an event or a concept specific to the You Belong in Longmont campaign, the entire logo should be used. For other organizations, choose any of the graphic elements to help amplify the point that "You Belong." Use just the "L" to bracket another logo... use the ribbon to draw attention to a time, date or lace... use the color wheel for some flair. Or, use none of the graphics; just include the welcoming concept of "belonging."

The video shows examples of the different ways the graphics can be used.

The mix of elements include:

Whether using the complete logo, the "You Belong" concept, just the "L" or any of the supplementary graphic elements, the goal should be to illustrate the "why" of You Belong in Longmont.

  • You Belong at the Longmont Library (because there is an event)
  • You Belong in Downtown Longmont (because of a sale, a gallery walk, a parade, etc.)
  • You Belong in Longmont (where the citizens own the utility company)
  • You Belong at Cinco de Mayo

The logo and associated graphics offer a multitude of possibilities to promote an event, a shop, a business, or an idea.

OTHER ELEMENTS

  • The "L" — may be used to bracket another logo such as a community organization, business association or an individual company.
  • The Ribbon — may be used to highlight the message or call to action.
  • The Color Wheel — may be a stand-alone focal point, a highlight for a secondary message, or may be a background image to subtly enhance the message.
